(KMOV.com) - As the city of Ferguson waits for the Grand Jury decision in the Michael Brown shooting, many in Ferguson are trying to get on with their daily lives.
Shoppers at a local supermarket were beginning their Thanksgiving shopping as holiday decorations went up along South Florissant Avenue. A “Season’s Greetings’ sign hangs over the street in front of the Ferguson Police Department in the same area where many protests have been held since August.
"I'm not worried about it one way or the other you have people going to do what they're going to do and then you have people just trying to live their lives," one shopper told News 4.
Some residents say they are still upset over the shooting even as they try to live their daily lives.
"We're still going through a trying situation waiting on the verdict, we just want peace pretty much, just want peace, we want the situation to be better than it is right now."
