CAHOKIA, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- A Metro-East family is outraged because said their 5-year-old son was let off a school bus unsupervised Monday afternoon.
Rose Colbert said she searched for her grandson Jason for two hours before finding him at a friend’s house.
“Jason went to the next door neighbor he told his mother no one came to the door he went down the street to a little boy’s house that he did know and knocked on their door,” said Colbert.
Art Ryan, the Cahokia Schools Superintendent said he is investigation
“It’s my understanding when they pulled up the driver said to student 'Are you OK? Do you know where you are going? Do you know where you live?' The student said 'Oh yea I live down the street,” said Ryan.
Ryan suggests parents contact the school when they need special arrangements for their students.
