PINE LAWN, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm has been filed against a St. Charles man accused of leading Pine Lawn police on a chase Sunday night.
Walter Collier, 25, was inside a vehicle as shots were fired from it in the 4300 Peyton Lane around 7:30 p.m. Police said multiple vehicles were hit by the gunfire but no one was injured in the incident.
After the shots were fired, an officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the car continued driving, leading police on a pursuit down Interstate 70.
The vehicle was stopped when St. Louis City Police deployed spike stripes near Grand Avenue. Two suspects were arrested when the car was stopped.
Authorities said shots were fired from the suspects’ gold Nissan during the chase. They say a gun was thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit.
According to police, a significant amount of drugs were found inside the vehicle.
Collier is being held on a $10,000 bond.
