ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police are looking into two crimes in the Bevo neighborhood that may be connected.
The crimes took place just blocks apart from each other and were reported two minutes apart. In both cases, the victims told police that there were four male suspects.
In the first incident, police said a robbery occurred at Cafe Palarmo. Victims said four suspects walked in showing a gun. They then left with the victims’ wallets and cell phones.
In the second incident, the suspect said a driver of a silver Impala pulled in front of her, and four suspects got out. They pointed a gun at her and car jacked her.
Police statistics in the Bevo neighborhood indicate that there were 31 robberies last year but 21 robberies this year, more than a 32 percent drop.
Police are still investigating both crimes independently and cannot confirm the two are connected.
