BRIDGETON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Bridgeton police spent much of Sunday trying to figure out what was wrong with one of the department’s phone lines.
The department confirmed the phone lines were not working for a majority of Sunday. A desk employee said the department could make outgoing calls throughout the day but could not take incoming calls.
Calls to 911 were not impacted because those calls come in on a separate line.
A business owner also told News 4 he was having a similar issue with his phone lines. Communication officials did not say how widespread the issue was.
A Bridgeton officer told News 4 she wasn’t sure when the problem was fixed but said it’s been working since she started her shift at 11:00 p.m. Sunday.
