(FootballStL) - The newly elected mayor of Inglewood, California told supporters Tuesday he has a meeting lined up with the Rams owner.
Mayor James Butts did not mention Rams owner Stan Kroenke by name. The announcement came amid rumors the Rams may depart for Los Angeles
Kroenke purchased 60 acres of lane in Inglewood in January that could be suitable for a new football stadium. He has not publicly stated that he is considering moving the Rams to the Los Angeles area or anywhere else. The Rams lease at the Edward Jones dome in St. Louis expires after the current season.
