FENTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Plans have been made for a piece of land along Interstate 44 in Fenton, Missouri that used to be the site of a Chrysler plant.
The 294 acre site will be made into an office park by Clayton based KP Development. The new office park will be known as Fenton Logistics Park.
Developers hope in the next five years the site will feature 2.5 million square feet of industrial, distribution and office space.
Developers acknowledge Fenton Logistics Park will never provide the 6,000 jobs the Chrysler plant did but hope as many as 3,000 people can work at the office park.
The development company is not saying what it paid for the piece of land but a St. Louis County Appraisal indicates its worth at $17.2 million.
