(KMOV.com) – After several neighbors caught thieves breaking into a home on Eichelberger Street in south St. Louis, two suspects have been charged with the crime.
Cartell Hogue and Donald Williams were charged Thursday. Among the charges are second degree burglary, theft of property over $500, and several counts of theft of a firearm. Detectives said the pair broke into the home on Eichelberger and stole six guns from the home.
On Monday, a victim told News 4 she was not home when her home was broken into but she said neighbors called 911 after spotting the suspects carrying away items from her house. When the victim got home, she said she saw where the suspects had broken in.
“I live on a busy street and they just continued to carry stuff out of the house, there was not concern about anyone seeing them,” the victim said. “They took their time in the house. They did not fear anyone coming home.”
Police said they arrested the two suspects near Tillis Park. Authorities said they found guns and the items taken from the victim’s home.
