(KMOV)-- The Francis Howell School District was on lockdown after the UMB Bank on Midrivers Mall Drive was robbed Wednesday.
According to the Cottleville Police Department, the suspect handed the teller a handwritten note indicating a bank robbery and that he had a weapon. The suspect fled on foot.
As a result, Francis Howell Central High School, Sager Middle School and Warren Elementary School went on lockdown as a precaution.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 30s, approximately 6', 175 lbs, blonde hair, wearing a black ball cap with a black hoodie.
