(KMOV) – Residents of Wentzville met with their chief of police Tuesday night to discuss the possibility of adding speed cameras to neighborhoods with speeding problems.
The cameras would give the four-officer police department an extra eye to catch speeders in these speed prone areas.
Attendees of the meeting were able to ask questions and a main concern is how the cameras would work. The police chief said when a car is caught speeding, tickets would be sent to the driver of the vehicle, not the vehicle owner.
There is no word on when the city will vote on the cameras, but there was a positive mood from the residents, about adding the cameras.
