(KMOV)--Police are investigating a burglary in St. Louis that placed a local school on ‘lock-down’ Monday.
St. Louis County Police responded to a burglary call on the 400 block of Midlothian Road around 12:20 p.m.
When officers arrived to the scene a black male in his 20's wearing a red cap and dark jacket ran from police.
The suspect ran towards Glasgow Elementary School and was last seen near the school.
Police put the school on 'lock-down' while the area was searched.
Around 1:15 p.m the school was taken off 'lock-down' after police searched the area around the school.
Police have not located the suspect. There is no information on if anything was stolen in the burglary attempt.
The investigation is ongoing.
