One dead, one injured in pair of shootings in St. Louis

(KMOV) – Two Thursday shootings in St. Louis have left one man dead and another injured.

The first shooting, in the 8600 block of Church Road happened around noon Thursday. Police say Jeremy A. Miller, 25, of St. Louis was found shot in the back. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 
 
Neighbors told police they heard gunshots overnight, but did not call police.
 
No description of the shooter has been released.
 
The second shooting, in the 5800 block of Etzel, left one man injured, but not seriously.
 
Police say the 18-year-old victim and his friends were outside when they heard gunshots. The victim then realized he had been shot in the buttocks and leg.  He was taken to the hospital for treatment and listed in stable condition. 
 
The suspect was described as a black male wearing black pants, black jacket and white tennis shoes.
 
Both shooting are still under investigation.
