CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- With the college basketball season getting underway in four days, Illinois coach Bruce Weber admits he doesn' know what he'll see when 13th-ranked Illini take the floor against UC-Irvine.
Weber told reporters Thursday he hasn't yet seen any film of the Anteaters. He knows they have a new coach in Russell Turner and return most of their team from last year. But that's about it.
Weber, though, is more worried about the Illini.
He said that in two tighter-than-you'd-like exhibition games, Illinois hasn't made open shots or finished runs. He's also waiting for his team to take better care of the ball.
Weber says he and his assistant coaches aren't panicking. But they know they have work to do.
