(KMOV) -- A teen has been charged with pretending to be a police officer.

Ryan Moore, 17, was charged with 2 counts of False Personation of a Police Officer.

Authorities said they received two separate complaints on Oct. 14 related to someone possibly impersonating a police officer.

In both incidents a white male in a Maroon Ford Explorer that was equipped with a dash mounted strobe light pulled someone over in the 14,000 block of Trestle road in Highland, Illinois. In both incidents the suspect identified himself verbally as a "cop" and warned one driver to slow down, while warning a second driver for erratic driving.

Authorities said one of the drivers that was pulled over told police that same suspect came to her home on Oct. 30 telling her that he was investigating a loud noise complaint. The woman asked the suspect about his identity and the suspect told her he was an "Undercover Cop."

Authorities were able to locate the suspect from a partial Illinois Registration from the vehicle the suspect was driving. Moore was taken into custody. Bond was set at $15,000.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone who has had any previous encounters with Moore in which he presented himself to be a police officer to contact the sheriff’s office at 618-692-4433.
