Family with infant child safe after Creve Coeur apartment fire

(KMOV) – Officials are investigating after a fire at a Creve Coeur apartment complex forced a family out of their home.

Fire crews from Maryland Heights and Creve Coeur responded shortly before 8 p.m. Monday night to a fire at the Oak Forest Parkway Court apartments off Lindbergh.

The Creve Coeur Fire Department chief says the fire started in a kitchen and engulfed most of the unit.

The couple living there has a three-month-old daughter. They all escaped unharmed.

The husband says the Red Cross is assisting them.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still unclear.
