(KMOV)--St. Louis County is looking to secure 1,450 Express Scripts Jobs.
St. Louis County Economic Council requested an incentives package aimed at keeping 1,300 jobs and adding at least 150 new jobs in the next phase of expansion for Express Scripts.
The project would be located at NorthPark in North St. Louis County across Interstate 70 from the company’s headquarters. St. Louis County Economic Council said the new 225,000-square-foot building would cost $63 million in real and personal property investment and the retained jobs would earn approximately $40,500 annually. St. Louis County Economic Council believes the new jobs would generate an average salary of approximately $60,000 a year.
St. Louis County Economic Council stated that incentives would provide 50% reduction in real and personal property taxes for ten years.
No final decision has been made by the company as to where the project will be located, but it will be contingent on the County incentive package and a package of incentives yet to be submitted by the State Department of Economic Development and Missouri Development Finance Board.
