(KMOV) -- A Metro-East teenager has been charged with burglary in connection with three vehicle burglaries over the weekend.
Jesse Redmon, 18, has been charged with three counts of burglary.
The Madison County sheriff’s office received reports of vehicle burglaries in the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Bethany Lane in Godfrey and in the 6600 block of Wenzel Road in Alton.
Witnesses reported seeing a white Nissan in all of the burglaries.
A police detective in Alton was investigating a report of a stolen vehicle and discovered that it was the white Nissan related to the burglaries.
Redmon and a juvenile were identified as suspects in the Alton case.
The Madison County sheriff’s office then determined that Redmon and the juvenile were responsible for the other vehicle burglaries.
Redmon is being held in the Madison County Jail on $60,000 bond. The juvenile is being held at the Madison County Detention Home.
