District fly's into its final week this weekend. Let's take a quick look at who's in, out, bubbling ? Remember in class 6, all the District champs of odd number districts play the #2 team of the even numbered districts in the first round of the post-season. Of course, all even champs play the odd numbered districts #2 team.

Class 6
District 1

Eureka is in (8-1) to no one's surprise. Currently Oakville (2-7) and Northwest (1-8) are 1-1 in District. For some reason I like Fox (0-8) and 0-2 to beat Northwest the Friday and become a playoff team!
District 2
DeSmet (5-4) sits at 2-0 and hold wins over Lindbergh & SLUH. The Spartans are in drivers seat to be district Champions. The game between Lindbergh(7-2) & SLUH (4-5)will determine who plays and who watches after next weekend. This game will be on
District 3
This District which has been grouped together for several cycles now always seems to go down to the the last weekend.CBC(8-1, 2-0) is currently in first place. The Cadets beat Marquette by 3 points and Pk South by 7 so they are at a +10.Marquette (7-2, 1-1) is a +8 while Lafayette (5-4, 11-1) is a +2.  There are many different scenarios that could play out.  Basically if CBC wins, they'll be #1, Marquette #2. If Lafayette upsets the Cadets by 7 points or more, it'll be Marquette #1 and Lafayette #2. The Lancers face the Cadets this Friday on the Prepcasts Broadcasting Network at
District 5
Francis Howell Vikings (8-1, 2-0) face the Pattonville Pirates(7-2, 2-0) on Friday to determine who wins District and gets to play the #2 team of District 6 (which won't be an easy task!). Each of these two teams has already punched their ticket to post-season.
District 6
Ft Zumwalt West (7-2, 2-1) will win this title. The Jaguars beat the Jeff City Jays 56-49 on Friday in their usual wild scoring affair to "ice it up".  The Hickman Kewpies (6-3,1-1) and Jefferson City Jays (5-4, 1-1) play to "stay alive" and face the winner of Howell/Pattonville game.
District 7
Blue Springs(7-2, 2-0) with Darrian Miller scoring 4 touchdowns crushed Liberty 51-13 to wrap up this district title. Blue Springs South(6-3, 1-1) is expected to handle Liberty (3-6, 0-2) then have the Hawkets of Rockhurst waiting for them in the first round of Playoffs.
District 8
Rockhurst(9-0, 2-0) has found a way to win each week. This week should be no different against Joplin (4-5,0-2). The game between Lee Summit North (5-4, 1-1) and Raymore-Peculiar (5-4, 1-1) determines who face Blue Springs next week.  Ray-Pec's Cameron Coffman (some say the best QB prospect in state) was on fire on Friday with 364 yards passing and two TD strikes.

Class 5
District 1
Summit Falcons (5-4, 2-0) are wrapped up the title but their game against Jackson (3-6, 1-1) will determine if Jackson or Seckman (2-6,1-1) advance. Should Jackson win, they're "in". If they lose AND Seckman wins (Seckman is playing Poplar Bluff (1-8), the Jags advance. At this point, my crystal football is showing a Jaguar !
District 2
The defending Class 5 champions are flexing their muscles again (8-0, 2-0). The Statesman just have too many playmakers for most teams (like all the teams in Missouri) to stop. WG does have a very talented Parkway North (7-2, 1-1)team this week. Since the Vikings fell last week to Chaminade, if they are beaten, their season will end. Chaminade (6-2,1-1) has a tough opponent in Parkway Central (6-3,0-2). If the Vikings do hand the taste of defeat to Webster, North will advance. Some have dubbed this district the "District of Death" since all four teams are strong, talented, well coached and only two will go. Well, that's a topic for another day, for today, only two teams are going. I'm riding the horses of WG and Chaminade.
District 4
This district has already crowned the champion-Ft Zumwalt East (9-0, 4-0). It's really simple-- whoever wins the Holt (5-4, 2-1) at Timberland (4-5, 2-1) advances. This is a tough one but I'm going with the Indians of Holt.
District 5
The two teams are sitting on the Post-season train. They'll decided on Friday which sits in the #1 seat and which sits in the #2 seat. Kirkwood (5-3, 2-0) face the Longhorns of Parkway West (3-6, 2-0). The Wood's body of work for the season makes them the favorite.
District 6
Ditto District 5 with the contenders being Waynesville (5-4, 2-0) and Camdenton (7-2, 2-0). Last year the Tigers advanced deep into the playoffs but I'm looking at the Lakers to move down the road in 2010.
District 7
Lebanon (9-0, 3-0) should win easily this week over Williard (1-7) and be the Champion. Parkview(4-4, 2-1), who scores tons of points, will face Glendale (4-5, 2-1) to determine who's "in" and who's "out".
District 8
Branson (5-3, 3-0) faces Nixa (5-3, 2-1) for the title. The Nixa Eagles have many different cards in their hand. If they win, they win district. If they lose by less that 11 points, they make the playoffs as the #2 team. If they lose by more than 11 points, Neosho moves into the second spot. Let's see which card the Eagles will play. Branson's offense can really roll when its's hot, I'm thinking that Neosho may see the first round of the playoffs!
District 9
Lee Summit West (8-1, 2-0) will be #1  while the Lee Summit(5-4, 1-1)-Ruskin (2-7,1-1) will find Lee Summit grabbing the second spot.
District 10
Raytown South (6-3, 2-0) is wearing the crown already. Wm Chrisman (5-4,1-1) and Raytown (3-6, 1-1) will play for the second spot. Look for the Bears!
District 11
This district knows WHO but not where. It's Ft Osage and Park Hill South in the post-season. The game this weekend will settle the #1 vs #2. I like the Indians to advance as Champion.
District 12
Park Hill (6-3) and Staley (7-2) should advance with PH #1 and Staley #2. Both solid programs are looking to go deep into playoffs.
