ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A new audit says the taxpayer-funded group that owns the Edward Jones Dome treated elected officials to St. Louis Rams tickets without recording them as lobbying gifts.
Missouri Auditor Susan Montee released the audit report Thursday on the St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority.
The authority gets 42 tickets to every Rams home game and the use of a luxury suite at the stadium.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the audit also found that during the 2008 Rams season, the authority paid about $7,500 to let guests in the suite eat and drink for free.
Montee's report says the authority kept records of what it gave to some but not all guests.
The authority says it has strengthened its ticket accounting procedures and will record gifts to elected officials to the Missouri Ethics Commission.
