Illinois has reduced traffic fatalities again.
Governor Pat Quinn, along with Illinois State Police Director Jonathan E. Monken announced this week that there were 100 fewer fatalities in 2009 than in 2008.
According to the ISP, data shows there has been a downward trend in crash-related deaths since 2003 – during the same time safety belt usage has increased each year from 76 percent in 2003 to nearly 92 percent in 2009.
