(KMOV) – As temperatures dip into single digits, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay announced Tuesday the city will open 40 “warming centers.”

Anyone needing place to sleep should call the Homeless Hotline at 314-802-5444. The hotline will be open until 10 p.m.
The mayor also announced a "reverse 911 system" that will telephone 3,000 people who are on the city's special needs registry.
