KMOV - A cemetery owner already accused of leaving open graves and sinking tombstones has been charged with operating a methamphetamine lab on cemetery grounds.
Willam Work is in jail Monday on charges he ran a meth lab at the Woodland Hill Cemetery, located just outside Wood River.
The township supervisor, along with the administrative assistant, have received nearly 100 complaints from the way Work runs his cemetery
Now the community is shocked that the cemetery's owner is in jail, charged with running a meth lab inside his home at the cemetery.
According to police, they were tipped off on the location of the meth lab on New Year's Eve.
Authorities found the lab, along with meth-producing materials. They also found a child under the age of 18 inside the home.
According to police, this isn't Work's first run in with drug charges. He was convicted of making methamphetamine in 2004.
Work is in the Madison County Jail on $100,000 bond.
