Man dropped from lawsuit after hitting, killing pre-school teacher

A man whose impaired driving contributed to the death of an Edwardsville pre-school teacher has been dropped from a lawsuit brought by the woman’s sons.

In July, Larry Brock was dropped from a suit that had been brought against him and the city of Edwardsville in August of 2007 by Brian and Collin Gardiner. The brothers lost their mother, Ann Gardiner, in a traffic accident on Dec. 1, 2006 during an ice storm that struck the day before and blanketed the area with ice for weeks.
