(KMOV) -- West County Center mall is back open after a messy, muddy night.

Crews worked throughout the night and much of Thursday morning to repair a broken water main that flooded parts of the mall.

The mall had to be shut down because bathrooms, fountains and the food court were without water.

Crews on scene tell News 4 that the break happened in the worst possible place -- right where the water main went into the building.

Repair workers put in more than 15 hours both inside and out to replace the eight-inch water main, and they're not done yet.

Crews are expected to stay on scene at the mall throughout the day to finish all repairs.
