As we reach the end of the 2009, and the end of a decade, (I know that technically it isn't but for most of us it represents the end of a decade) it would be a good time to name the St. Louis Rams All-Decade team. The decade began with the Rams winning a Super Bowl and ends with the Rams probably picking up the Number One overall draft pick. It has been quite the roller coaster ride. Here is the list of the All-Decade players on the St. Louis Rams during the 2000's.
Quarterback: Kurt Warner Only one quarterback lead the team to a Super Bowl during this decade and was named MVP of the entire NFL and that was Kurt Warner. What was most stunning about Warner's time during this decade was the rise and fall of the great quarterback. The numbers that were put up by Warner during the Greatest Show on Turf era will probably never be duplicated by any Rams quarterback ever.
Running Back: Marshall Faulk One of the greatest running backs in NFL history, Marshall Faulk was the most dominant running back in the NFL during his zenith. Faulk will be elected into the Hall of Fame next winter. Steven Jackson does deserve a mention but he has not dominated as much as Faulk did during his time.
Fullback: James Hodgins The 274 pound beast made some holes open up for Marshall Faulk. Edges out Madison Hedgecock as the best fullback of this decade.
Wide Receiver: Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt This one is easy. The two wide receivers terrorized defensive coordinators for most of the decade. They are easily the most overlooked great wide receiver tandem in NFL history.
Tight End: Randy McMichael
