JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man is in custody after a police pursuit Thursday morning.
According to police, a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding at Gravois Road and Schumacher Road in High Ridge, Missouri at 8:54 a.m. Police say the driver was uncooperative and took off in the vehicle forcing the deputy to jump back to keep from being struck.
Authorities pursued the vehicle to the St. Louis County line where they lost sight of it.
The Missouri State Patrol saw the vehicle as it crashed on the commuter parking lot at Interstate 270 and Highway 30. The driver of the vehicle took off on foot but was located shortly after.
The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody. Police say they will be seeking multiple charges against him.
