A man believed to be in his fifties was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at a local hospital.  A second victim was found in a vehicle in the area of Adelaide and West Florissant with a gunshot wound to the torso.  That victim, who was reportedly conscious, was rushed to a hospital. A third victim was hit by shattered glass when their vehicle was shot.

Shortly after the shooting, a car accident was reported on Interstate 70 at West Florissant involving multiple vehicles.  Police have not connected that accident to the shooting on Adelaide Avenue.

Police are searching for a dark-colored Dodge Charger with no license plates in connection with the shooting.  A source familiar with the situation tells News 4 police are investigating multiple crimes involving a similar vehicle.  The Charger was reportedly stolen Wednesday and was connected to several crimes in Illinois, as well as the strong-arm robbery of a set of earrings from Vincent Jewelers in Creve Coeur Thursday morning.

News 4 has a crew on the scene and will provide more information as it becomes available.
