MoDOT reopens eastbound I-64 in time for Monday morning commute

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) --MoDOT reopened eastbound Interstate 64 around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night in time for the Monday morning commute.

Crews closed the ramps from McCausland, Clayton/Skinker, Hampton, Kingshighway, and Papin to eastbound I-64 at 8 p.m. Friday.  The department started closing lanes on eastbound I-64 at 9 p.m.

During the construction, crews closed the highway at Big Bend, with the interstate fully closed after the Tower Grove exit. The ramps from eastbound I-64 to Hampton, Kinghsighway and Tower Grove remained open. Crews removed, repaired and replaced the driving surface on the I-64 bridge over Vandeventer.

Crews also announced that one part of the Page Avenue extension is scheduled to be finished in less than a week.
