(KMOV.com) – Two people have been hospitalized following a crash involving a motorcycle in downtown St. Louis Thursday night
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. at Washington and Broadway. Police say a motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed on N. Broadway when it struck the side of a car as it entered the intersection against the red light.
Police say both passengers were thrown from the motorcycle. The driver, a 25-year-old man, was taken to a hospital and is listed in critical/unstable condition. The passenger, a 26-year-old woman, was also taken to a hospital and is listed in serious/stable condition.
Officials say the 48-year-old driver of the car refused medical treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
