Firefighters battle four fires within an hour throughout St. Louis-area

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Firefighters battled four fires within an hour early Monday morning.

The first fire broke out around 1 a.m. in the 900 block of Washington Park Ave in Washington Park, Illinois.

Roughly 15 minutes later, another home caught fire in the 2600 block of Cynthia in Cahokia, Illinois.

Fifteen minutes after the fire in Cahokia, a vehicle caught fire on Joe Street in Fairmont Park, Illinois. Police said the vehicle was in front of the home when it caught fire.

About one hour after the first fire broke out in Washington Park, firefighters were called to a vacant house fire in the 8200 block of Riley in south St. Louis. Firefighters said they were able to put the flames out using an aggressive interior attack.

No other information was available.
