(KMOV)-- In two weeks Metro will find out if it'll get emergency funding from the state of Missouri.
A budget shortfall forced the agency to cut hundreds of jobs and slash thousands of bus stops.
If Metro gets that money they would restore a significant portion of bus routes.
They would add nine new bus routes including one near St. Lukes Hospitals, another at St. Anthony's Hospital on I-55, and one south of Lindbergh.
A Metro spokesperson said the agency wants to restore service to hospitals and to business districts in the area.
Metro would also increase the frequency of Metrolink stops.
The legislature could vote on House Bill 20 in the next couple of weeks.
