COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Brooks Raley turned a top-of-the-ninth single into a score to lift No. 3 Texas A&M to a 6-5 win over Missouri on Sunday.
Raley hit a single to start the ninth inning. He then went to steal second base, and the throw made in an attempt to get him out bounced into left field.
Raley kept running to score the winning run and help Texas A&M (14-9, 3-3 Big 12) avoid being swept by Missouri (11-11, 3-3) in their three-game series.
The Tigers jumped out to an early lead after scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning. But the Aggies came back in the fifth and sixth innings to take a 4-3 lead on a three-run homer from Randall Thorpe and a single homer from Kevin Gonzalez.
Texas A&M scored another run in the seventh to take a 5-3 lead.
Missouri tied the game in the bottom of the eighth on a pair of runs that included an RBI single by Kyle Mach.
