Missouri finishes at #19 in final AP poll

(AP) -- The Florida Gators are the No. 1 team in the final Associated Press football poll following Thursday's 24-14 win over Oklahoma in the BCS championship game at Miami.

The Gators picked up 48 of 65 first-place votes, and second-ranked Utah received serious consideration by claiming 16. The 13-and-0 Utes are the fourth team in the last 10 seasons to go undefeated without winning the national championship.

Southern Cal picked up the remaining No. 1 vote after clobbering Penn State in the Rose Bowl.

Fourth-ranked Texas is followed by Oklahoma, Alabama, TCU, Penn State, Ohio State and Oregon.

Number-11 Boise State is followed by Texas Tech, Georgia, Mississippi and Virginia Tech. Oklahoma State holds the 16th position, ahead of Cincinnati, Oregon State, Missouri and Iowa.

Florida State, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Michigan State and BYU round out the top 25.
