Wisconsin began the game jumping out to a 6-2 lead and expanded it to 28-17 at halftime. The Illini were able to close it to a four-point game 17-13 in the first half, but could not get any closer. A 30-17 score at the beginning of the second half was the closest Illinois got.

The Illini return to the Assembly Hall on January 3 at 11:00 CT. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS and fans are encouraged to support the team and "Pack the Hall."
