RENO, Nev. (AP) -- After consecutive losses to a pair of ranked teams from the Big 12 Conference, the best news for Nevada (1-2) is who they play this week: nobody.
Nevada coach Chris Ault described Saturday's 69-17 thumping at No. 5 Missouri as a "fiasco." Ault said "Missouri is a great football team, but not 69-17." The Tigers needed only seven offensive plays to score their first two touchdowns.
Ault said Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his offensive line played well the first half, but they weren't able to help keep the Wolf Pack defense off the field the second half and that finally took a toll.
Ault said there was plenty of blame to go around, starting with the coaches.
