Illini playing top salvage season while Buckeyes eye Big Ten title

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois coach Ron Zook hopes his to recreate a little of last year's magic when the Illini take on Number 10 Ohio State tomorrow.

Last year the Illini upset the top-ranked Buckeyes in Columbus, during one of the high points of a surprise 9-and-4 season.

But this year, Illinois is 5-and-5 and hoping to scratch out a sixth win that might get them to a bowl game.

Zook says he told his team that this game is a lot like last year's. No one, Zook says, gives the Illini much of a chance.

Ohio State comes in at 8-and-2 and 5-and-1 in the Big Ten. With one loss, the Buckeyes still have a shot at the conference title since Penn State lost last week.

Ohio State coach Jim Tressel says that title chance gives his team an extra incentive.

The Kickoff is at 11 a.m., and the forecast calls for temperatures in the 30s, strong wind and maybe even a little snow.
