(KMOV) -- A member of the U.S. Air Force killed while on duty is getting a special honor.
Senior Airman Bradley Smith was killed in an explosion in Afghanistan in January. Members of Smith's unit, the 10th Air Support Squadron, gathered in his honor Thursday in Glen Carbon to march 500 miles back to Fort Riley Kansas, carrying a memorial brick honoring Smith.
Smith's parents said the honor is exactly what their son would have wanted.
