(KMOV)--The Lake of the Ozarks is still exceeding federal E. coli guidelines for public swimming areas.
Last week another test showed that the same cove tested last month is still exceeding the government guidelines for E. coli levels in the water.
The cove will be tested again in July as part of a five year program to help clean up the lake.
The E. coli bacteria will cause nausea in healthy adults but may have more serious effects on children and the elderly.
