(KMOV) – A pair of World War II veterans were given a special honor on Saturday in south St. Louis.
They were recognized for their service during a barbecue picnic for a local National Guard Unit.
The 138th Infantry Regiment was formed in 1832, and has had Guardsmen serve in conflicts going all the way back to the Mexican-American War.
