ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A new farmer’s market has planted itself in St. Louis, and has made north city its home.
Vendors lined the streets along the intersection of 14th and St. Louis Avenue, selling everything from fresh lettuce to homemade cookies.
According to the North City Farmers’ Market website, its mission is to “offer high-quality, low cost foodstuffs, healthy cooking demonstrations and health screenings to improve physical well-being…”
Local business owners and individual entrepreneurs looking to sell food and crafts are encouraged to apply for space in the market. The market also provides neighborhood residents looking to grow their own fresh food with their own soil bed.
The North City Farmers’ Market is located at North 14th Street and St. Louis Avenue across from Crown Candy Kitchen, and features local, organic foods. Operating hours are from 9 a.m. – noon starting June 5 through October 16th.
