(KMOV) -- A pair of World War II veterans were given a special honor today in south St. Louis.
They were recognized for their service during a barbecue picnic for a local National Guard unit.
The 138th Infantry Regiment was formed in 1832 and has had guardsmen serve in conflicts going back to the Mexican-American War.
