ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -- The Great Midwest Football League is mourning the loss of one of its players.
Twenty-nine-year-old wide receiver Stacey Johnson died early Sunday morning outside "The Loft" nightclub in St. Louis.
City police say Johnson had been arguing with the shooter.
A statement on the league's website says two of Johnson's teammates on the River City Eclipse semi-pro squad were also shot, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are looking for a red-colored Chevy Monte Carlo in connection with the shootings.
