(KMOV) -- More people than ever are spending their Memorial Day shopping at a local flea market.
There are no official numbers yet, but the annual Gypsy Caravan is expected to draw over 25,000 people, a record number of shoppers for the sale.
Monday marked the 38th anniversary of the event, one of the largest flea markets in the Midwest.
About 400 vendors spread out across the University of Missouri St. Louis campus selling antiques, knick-nacks, homemade crafts and food.
The event cost $5 to get in with proceeds supporting the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
