(KMOV) -- It took a lawsuit, but a high school senior at Timberland High School was allowed to walk at graduation.
It all stems from a field trip the school's choir took to Six Flags two weeks ago when some students brought alcohol. Those students were suspended, but so was Alisson Braun. She wasn't suspended for drinking, but because she didn't report it when she found out.
Students at Timberland held demonstrations at school to repeal her suspension and Braun got an attorney. She reached a confidential settlement with the school district so neither side can talk about the terms.
Braun described the ceremony as "awesome" and said she will be going to school in Chicago where she will be a pre-med student.
