ATV accident kills one, injures three others, including 11-year-old driver

(KMOV) -- Police are investigating a deadly ATV crash that killed one woman and injured two others.

The crash happened on Saturday just outside of Potosi along Floyd Tower Road in the Mark Twain National Forest.

The driver of the ATV was 11-year-old boy. He suffered two broken legs.

The crash injured his mother and another man, and killed a 47-year-old woman.

Police say they have reason to believe that alcohol was involved among the adults, and scattered beer cans were spotted at the scene.

Any decision on charges will be up to the Washington County prosecutor.

The boy's father, who was not there on Saturday, says his son is resting comfortably, but does have two broken femurs.
