(BaseballStL) — The St. Louis Cardinals announced changes to the medical policy Tuesday.

According to the organization, the team will no longer use Dr. George Paletta and Dr. Lyndon Gross for medical services.

Instead, a team of Mercy Sports Medicine doctors will be used for player care.

The team includes several orthopedic surgeons, a concussion specialist, an injury and performance specialist and primary care physicians.

Mercy will also provide care for the minor league teams all the way through A ball.
