(KMOV.com) – A portion of Interstate 64 in the Metro East was re-opened after being closed to traffic when active power lines fell on the roadway mid-day Monday.
Both directions of Interstate 64 were shutdown around Route 159 in Fairview Heights around 11:15 a.m. The highway was re-opened just before 1:00 p.m
All eastbound lanes were being directed to exit the Interstate at Route 159 and travel Lincoln Trail to the O’Fallon, Ill. exit to Interstate 64.
Westbound lanes were also directed to exit the Interstate at Route 159 and detour to get right back on from the Route 159 exit.
