(HockeyStL) -- St. Louis Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Sunday evening that star forward Vladimir Tarasenko will undergo surgery on his right hand this week after injuring it in Saturday night’s game.
The procedure could keep the Russian forward out of the line-up for at least six weeks.
Tarasenko will have the surgery Wednesday.
The second-year winger, 22, has 43 points on the season (21 goals, 22 assists).
The Note has recalled forward Dmitrij Jaskin from the Chicago Wolves on an emergency basis.
