( – Funeral services have been scheduled for a Eureka firefighter who was killed in a multi-vehicle accident while off-duty Friday night.

Visitation for Greg Light, 49, will be held Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in the 500 block of Meramec Blvd. in Eureka. Light’s funeral will be at the church at 10 a.m. Thursday.

The procession following the funeral will travel north on Highway 109 to Bethel Cemetery on Manchester in Wildwood. Light will then be laid to rest.

Police say Light was traveling westbound on Route O near Pacific when a car heading eastbound on Route O attempted to pass another vehicle and crashed head-on into Light’s vehicle.

Light was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile passenger in the other car was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is unknown.

Authorities arrested the driver of the other vehicle, 38-year-old Jael Clem. He was later charged with manslaughter, assault and driving while intoxicated.

Light served the Eureka Fire Protection District for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, Faith, his son Justin and daughter Samantha.
