ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A Windsor, Illinois man has been charged in connection with bogus advertising on the Craigslist website.

Jason Cripe, 38, allegedly advertised two Bobcat tractors for sale on the website and accepted a payment of $12,800 in partial payment.

Cripe allegedly offered numerous explanations when the two items were not received by the buyer, but cut-off communications with the buyer after offering to repay the victim's money.

Cripe is wanted for wire fraud and, if convicted, could face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Authorities are asking anyone aware of Cripe's whereabouts to contact the St. Louis office of the Secret Service at 314-529-2238.
